Original called the Prince of Orange (the alley running behind the pub is named Prince of Orange Lane) and attached to The Station Hotel, the building which now is home to Belushi’s was opened by at least 1805 according to documents of the time. It was owned by Hoare’s brewery until Charrington’s acquired Hoare’s in 1933. The first Belushi’s backpacker hotel was opened in Covent Garden in 1994 and quickly expanded to become and international chain with the Greenwich branch opening in 1999. In 2019 the Greenwich branch received a full makeover including HD TV screens and top-of-the-range audio system.
