Having opened in 2002, The Gate Clock is a relative toddler compared with most of the pubs in Greenwich. It is named after a significantly older object though, the clock fixed to the gate of the Greenwich Observatory in 1851 which is known throughout the world as keeping Greenwich Mean Time. Spanning two floors, this large Wetherspoons pub is in the heart of Maritime Greenwich, and right next door to the Cutty Sark DLR. On London Marathon days, The Gate Clock offers one of the best views of the event from its beer terrace.
